In a tightly played game McKendree was able to finally break through against the Benedictine defense and pick a late goal to walk away with a 1-0 win. Despite out-shooting the Ravens 16-6 in the game, McKendree was held off the board until the 65-minute mark.

     Bearcat Tim Dew (Winchester, Hampshire/Peter Symonds) took the ball down the near side of the field and dribbled past a defender before letting a shot go from nearly 40-yards out. The ball headed to the far left of the net, catching the Raven keeper out of place and giving the Bearcats a 1-0 lead.

     McKendree's defense didn't allow the Ravens to counter and held the Ravens to few scoring chances.

     Bearcat keeper Santiago Hampton (Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. George's) made four saves in recording the shutout. McKendree is now 10-5-2 overall and will wrap-up regular season play with a home game against the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Oct. 26. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
